Default Penn Battle 2500 or 3500?

Trying to get a new set up and I don't have a spinning rod and reel set up. I have decided to go with a penny battle ( any objections are welcome) but I'm trying to decide on the 2500 or 3500 series. This will be my wade fishing set up also so I'm trying to keep everything light as possible.which one would y'all recommend? I will be recreational fishing big lake for red and specs and flounder. Any recommendation on a spinning rod. Who makes the best and lightest one. Duce rods haven't came out with one yet correct? Thanks in advance for your input

I have to agree with Kenmore: the 4000 model is perfect for inshore fishing. I don't own the Battle model but I have both the Conquer 4000 and the Sargus 4000. You can't beat Penn spinning reels. You will be very happy with the Battle 4000.

I thought about getting the okuma spin reel but I keep hearing great things about the Penn battle. I also want a sensitive tip rod light weight. Anyone use the stick em spinning rod.

The Okuma Trio was on sale recently at Academy. i picked up a 40s for 50 bucks. Happy with it so far. Only complaint is that the handle is not reversible so if you want handle on right side that is not possible.

I have it on a wright and mcgill blair wiggins signature series rod. 7'9" Medium action, Medium Heavy power spinning rod. It is the perfect combo!

I use the 3000 fierce for all my spinning need. Almost all the guides in my area are going to these for their clients. Penn makes a better spinning reel than shimano IMO

I went and bought the Battle 4000, decided i needed more line on my reel so I wouldn't have to change it so many times. Used it Saturday and it worked amazing. Really smooth on my first outing with it.Now to figure out how to change the handle to the right side of the reel ha. Thanks for all of the advice.
