Question Mobile Bay in August

Has anyone fished Mobile Bay before?

I let m y wife choose a long weekend vacation spot for the summer and she wants to bring our baby girl to the beach and has chosen Point Clear AL.

This is on the East shore of Mobile Bay.

I am looking into charters but also want to bring my poles and do some wade fishing.

Any input is appreciated.

Bump.

I didn't get any replies first try but I am heading to Mobile Bay this week and was hoping to get some pointers from anyone who has fished this area before.

We are staying at The Grand on the East side of Mobile Bay not very far from the Gulf.

I don't have a charter lined up but am definitely bringing my poles and hope to do some wade fishing as well as set up a last minute half day charter trip.

Has anyone fished there before? If so have any pointers?

I appreciate any information.

The only person I know that fishes Mobile Bay fishes the bridges and some reefs close to the east side.

The Grand Marriott is very very nice, if you play golf bring your clubs

My wife chose this hotel.

I am not all that pumped about Point Clear, AL but she wants to bring our 6 month old daughter to the beach and I think this will be the easiest trip we can make with such a young baby. A few other people have said the same thing about The Grand so I am pretty anxious to see what all of the talk is about. $379/night room that I got free for 5 nights with my Marriot points so I cant complain too much.

Thanks for the advice.
