How good is his range work? Need to renew mine but am so bored with the standard course of fire. I really wish the qualification course was harder. Actually knowing how to shoot should be required.

I found he went above and beyond compared to the first class I took with a different instructor. Our class was his first big class. Somewhere around 15 guys in our department and a few buddies signed up so he brought another instructor with him to help on the range. It was a good bit more shooting then the standard course. He actually observed each shooter and took the time to teach things such as grip, stance, and drawing as opposed to "Here's your target. Bring it back with x many holes in it." Overall I was extremely satisfied. That' only s my opinion, so take it for what it's worth. If your looking for a class to throw a ton of lead down range, take a look at Advantage Group. I shot somewhere between 600 and 700 rounds in one day through my pistol. Their range is in Robert, La and is awesome. I believe Magpul shot their Shotgun Dynamics DVD on that range.

Intro to Tactical Pistol can be put towards the 8 hour CC class, CHP instructor in Harahan will complete the classroom/legal portion if you decide to go that route.
