Hey Chris put your game cameras to use. I caught a guy from Moss Bluff poaching my land with one. And wouldnt you know it the guy was well known. Owns a business that he could of easily afforded to pay for a lease.

It's always been like this Chris. Just because someone has a boat does NOT make them a sportsman. My kids know if I ever find out they have run someone else's line I will bust their behind! I don't care how old they get. But they also get frustrated when someone picks up their lines too so hopefully that will give them a better respect for the other mans effort. I used to enjoy crawfishing but it has become such a PITA because of people running your traps or stealing them that it's not even worth the effort. Not to mention what I might do if I caught someone running my traps. I understand how you feel but think long and hard about doing something you might regret later over a few fish. It's difficult to enjoy another day on the water from a jail cell. That's what keeps me out of trouble. Just get their boat numbers or the liscense plate off their truck. Let the law do their job. If they don't tell the people around town what the've done. One day they will run the wrong mans line. Good luck, have fun be safe and catch lots of fish.

Had the same problem with my jug lines on the red river...only difference is they kept the fish and lines and just cut the line and threw the jugs in the river. Definite low lifes! Solution, I started tying them off at the base of the saplings near the water and flag them about 10ft away from the lines. Damn shame it has to come down to that.

Chris what are you using for bait? If you do not mind me asking. I would think it was crawfish.

A few years back, we had anti-hunters sabotaging our deer hunting. Taking a dump in or near deer stands right before opening day, vandalizing our deer stands, etc. We got some pictures with a game camera, but law enforcement did nothing.

I also had an animal rights activist "rescue" (steal) one of my dogs while it was chained to a doghouse keeping the deer out of our pear orchard. Law enforcement did nothing.

Hopefully, you will solve your problem and those stealing from you and giving you grief will get proper justice. I sympathize.

A friend of mine in the basin caught a guy running his crawfish traps on his game cam in the basin... Made mini posters of the clown and put them at all the landings ...

I set lines down bayou plaquemine. I've had 10 yoyos stole and 2 trotlines. Now I make sure to hide my lines the best I can. I hope you catch em.
