Might have to just wait till i actual have the motor to fool around with it.

Can't be much to it. LAM may actually tell you how. Call Kyle and see if he will get a tech to help you.

Alright guys, i took delivery of the motor yesterday and went on a break in ride. Accidentally got drunk doing it so hard to say how it ran. Very hung over this morning i took the restrictor plate out of the air box and put on my pt prop and went run it again. The motor and prop work great on the set up i have, i was able to get 37mph. The only thing i need to do is raise the motor up a notch or two its way to low, cavitation plate is under the boat and it sprays water everywhere when im running.

Sounds like you've got it going! Did you go 15p or 16p?

So you just take the air filter box off and there is the restrictor plate? I bought a new 40 tohatsu last week and had no idea about the restrictor

You may hit 40mph, go 2 notches higher and I bet that prop still grips. They run well 2-3" above transom and the torque steer significantly decreases.

If you bought it at Lake area marine, I highly doubt you have one. They pull them all.

You should get 40 out of it at least. Since I've gotten mine broke in and set, I run a solid 39 and if I get a tail wind I can hit 42 lol.
