Slimer

I should have been more specific.
Up here where i do the majority of my fishing, we don't have to worry too much about water clarity unless we have some tremendous rainfall.
Wind doesn't muddy the water very mich.

But... after a stong cold front... wind kicks up from the NE or NW, barometer starts steadily rising and fishing gets tough for a few days (generally).

You fellows have to contend with the barometer and wave action AND sediment coming down river.
To narrow things down, let's say the river is pretty clear for several days.
Now, is there a wind direction you'd really not want?

well the river almost always has dirty water down here.

the reason wind direction is important to us is the water clarity can go from clear to chocolate milk with certain wind directions so that's what matters.

its not very common about wave action as there are always more protected areas you can go but when the water gets dirty its dirty everywhere.

the Mississippi river is the predominant land mass that separates the coast into two zones as far and how wind affects water clarity and so if you are east of the Mississippi then a east wind makes the water dirty and if you are west of the Mississippi then a west wind makes the water dirty, north and south don't matter much but north will give you cleaner water then south.

so if you have an east wind fish the marsh on the west side of the Mississippi and if its a west wind then fish the marsh on the east side, if the winds are 5 mph or less it wont matter since that is not enough to dirty the water

I fish out of point a chene which is west of the river and north, west, or south is a good wind for me. The only time I find it is a problem is when the river is high and muddy it flows westward through the gulf and the tide will bring in the muddy water. Further west around cocodrie there is more open water and they will dirty up faster. Water clarity is getting worse in my opinion as far as wind because of erosion which leads to more open water with more wave action and so on and so on..........and in not so long its gunna be all open water................

But reading your ignorant posts , well it made my fingers type and click submit....
I'm not bullying; you made a comment that was completely wrong. I pointed it out.... Then you waited till someone came up with the " levee" comment and then you said " I left out levee"

Hahaha

Dude
