Default help with my new 17/48 alweld marsh special

Just bought a new rig from Lake area Marine with the new 4 stroke tohatsu 40 after reading all the reviews on here and other sites. I know some of you on here have the marsh special and I'm wondering if any of you have put rod holders on the side walls yet. Trying to get ideas on attaching to boat with out the ribs to drill through. Also I'm wanting to add a tachometer and water pressure gage. Any one hook these up on the new 40 tohatsu 4 stroke yet?

Very nice rig. My son has the same motor going on close to a year old and its a beast. I'm sure this combination will make for a great rig.

Hydro....we put a light bar that I won at the Salty Cajun Fishing Tourney raffle on our hunting boat and its nice.

I think it is 12 inches maybe 16 but it makes for a nice ride to the blind. Its a slow cruise with a go-devil but beats the hell out of holding a flashlight.

Thanks guys. As far as the light bar I wouldn't own a boat with out now. Mine is a 20" 7500 lumens and it's like running in day light. It hardly uses any battery either.

Nice!! I bought the boat buckle brand rod holders. I used some solid pvc thats 3/4" thick. I cut 2"x2" pieces 4 for each rod holder. Drilled the pvc then screwed the rod holder to the pvc. Next I scuffed the back of the pvc and bonded the rod holders with J.B.weld marine. Thats what I did and its worked out well for me.
I'll take some pictures in the a.m. and post them.

Whenever I bopught my marsh special in the spring of '13 Alweld didnt offer it in a flat bottom, which is what I really wanted. Man, now I wish I would have waited because these newer ones are even better than mine is. You will definitely enjoy your new rig!!!!!!!

Im sorry I had two sizes of the pvc. 3/4 and 1/2. I used the 1/2" I used the 3/4 on something else. That j.b. weld is good stuff!!
