Default Lacassine Pool report

DON'T GO!!!

On the water at 6:45am and fished till 1pm with ZERO FISH.....Did not even see a bream

Spoke with a biologist at the landing loading the boat and he said they almost scratched seining last week...

He said when the drought last summer forced all the fish in the channels they just ate each other and had no spawn last year

As of 1pm at the check station coming out there was a GRAND TOTAL of 9 Bass caught with the biggest little under 6lbs

Wow.....that's a tragedy that such a great fishery has turned into that.

Thanks for the report.

That guy said he saw a lot of good fish when they shocked it so the fish are there. Going from zero pressure to a few hundred boats is prob the cause.... I hope

Biologist we talked to said the biggest they saw was little over 7 but 16 total bass on that many shocks...

Going to be a long time......Never fished the POOL and caught nothing

There was not that much boat pressure as we fished by our selves most of the day with out any boats in sight!!..

Guy I fished with is a regular in the pool and he said this is bad..very bad...

NO FISH...Not a tadpole ...nothing ............we did not see A FISH...No Signs of FISH.....

you have 16,000 acres of water now so in a few years it should build back up but this year is a waist

After seeing it this past November it was pretty clear there wasn't going to be many fish in there. Talked to several people who fish there for years and are always successful at sight fishing. None of them had caught a fish.

I got a friend and his wife and son went last weekend and did pretty good.
Didn't limit out, but all fish were good sized. They had 10 fish, none under 1.5 lbs.

Must have been an evenin bite. After reading these reports coming in and hearing I had to go see for myself. Me and a buddy made a quick trip. Made a drift across the north pond and ended wit 15 nice fish. All caught on houdini flukes. I love this place!!
