That launch is still closed due to construction of The Golden Nugget. The launch at Prien Lake Park IS open.

I took some pictures at Calcasieu Point about a week ago.

There are lots of cracks but the surface is still fairly good.

The newspaper said that there would be curb and light post work done, but right now, it all looked good to me. Maybe when they take out the concrete the lights will be taken out also.

Take a right??

Coming from the east, take Nelson rd exit. Go under the over pass. Take a right at the second light. Right now with the construction you will dig left to the left then the launch will be on your right. Can't miss it.

Default Temporary Concrete

I know we don't have good soil for packing material but man if your in the cement business you got it made. Pave a road or build a parking lot then you get paid to the same job 3yrs later.

We need to get Mr Gerald to post some pictures of the Prien Park boat launch surface. It is terrible but please don't shut it down right while C.P. and 210 are out of service.

The launch approach is worse than the Calcasieu Pt. launch. Still very usable but kind of ruff.

Pictures..... other people live a lot closer to Prien park than I do.
