Question Planning a trip to Branson Missouri need some advice!!

I know someone on here has visited Branson, me and the ole lady trying to plan a trip to go up there in April.
Just wanted to know where some good places to stay are and what things we should do up there.
Thanks in advance!

you can drive up and down hills and be easily amused! other than that I hope you like country music! you might want to check out cedar lodge its 10 minutes south of branson and if you go to bass pro and sign up for a vacation there they will give you a $100 to spend.

Yeah but there is a catch to it. I think you have to go to some kind of classes while your there to get that $100.

Went there a couple years ago but took a family vacation. I loved it. Kind of a laid back atmosphere. Didnt do the Dixie Stampede but heard it was a must see. There is alot of shows there and plenty to do. I know you can ride the ducks there, its a big amphibeus school bus that they drive from the strip and dive off into the lake. Anything you do there will be 1st class.

There are tons of live shows to see and go cart tracks all over along with Tablerock Lake. They have a lot of differnt typs of music shows, magic shows, dinner shows and such.... its really a great place to take kids. What type of stuff are you interested in doing?

if you plan to stay in a hotel don't be fooled into thinking you are better of with a big chain. they have tons of privatly owned that are nice, clean and cheap but the past few yrs we have stayed in a Comfort Inn due to we get free rooms from credit card points and it has a pretty decent breakfest. There are some cabins on outskirts towards Silver Dollar City and Tablerock. I have been to Branson a lot of times and there is always new stuff to do, another good place very similar to Branson is Pigion Forge, Tn and they have a lot of outdoor things also.

We went last fall and stayed at Bass Pro big cedar lodge

It was about a 10 hour drive...

We went into Branson one day but stayed around the lodge area most of the tide.

Went spent two days at Dogwood canyon (think that's the name)

Branson did have some major damage due to the recent tornado outbreak, may want to check that out first.

Been there several times as a kid, it is like 'old persons' Disney World'. There are some good shows and plenty to do though. You could drive up and stay in Arkansas on the way up and do a canoe trip. We go every year to the Caddo River and its a blast, can catch some big smallmouth bass in there. Also, the White River has some great fishing for trout

There's a little college right outside Branson called College of the Ozarks. They have a first rate hotel there that's run by the students. Very nice, been there before. Also the school has a little museum that is surprisingly full of stuff like a whole floor devoted to old guns and one devoted just to taxidermy mounts. Really cool place. Most of the shows in Branson are top notch. Silver dollar city is great for the kids. Make the trip over to springfield and go to Cabela's and the predator zoo right down the road from it if it's still open, both are excellent.

Big cedar lodge is nice; we stayed there 4 years ago. Went after new years... Snow & ice!! Lol
Only went into Branson 1 day bc of weather.
But the lodge was great & had good food.
There is a lot to do there if the weather is good....
