Post Front Trout 4-21-15

Sonny Lovell and crew were back onboard the Bluewave today. Trout were on the menu!! Our first stop had a few fish hitting the deck but mostly were small. We spotted a flock of birds diving In the distance and it was fish on. A few keepers and throw backs, quick bite and the fish were gone. Our next stop actually had shrimp being chased out the water!! Power Pole down and fish on! Once again we boxed a few keepers and most went 11 3/4. Another move and we had nice 14-16 inch trout flying over the gunnel!! The bite was on....Then faded out like someone turned off a switch!! Stick and move catching fish at every stop, as there was no lull in activity. The winds steady picked up and the tide steadily came in all day long. I kept waiting on the tide to switch, but it never did. We switched gears to reds around 12:30. Hit the shallow ponds sighting red after red after red, but not one would commit to the hook. All fish caught on Matrix Shad Shrimp Creole under cork or Green Hornet tightlined with a quarter ounce Golden eye jig head. Good times as always with Sonny and his crew. We worked hard, but with the conditions dealt we pulled out a nice catch.
