Default Lake P report?

I am getting word that the trout are showing up around the trestles. Anyone been fishing that area?

Finally got my boat back from Boat City, and trying hard to repair her so that I can go fishing. Will hopefully be on the water this weekend and would like to jump right in to where their biting.

I got this report from Slidell this weekend...8 specs, 5 reds, 2 puppy drum... I didn't get a location (Top Secret), but I know it was in Slidell area marsh. Not the bridges. This was with those 30MPH gusts Saturday.

I am hoping this wind decides to calm down over the next few days. We're suppose to have some good tidal movement starting on Thursday so this weekend should be really good.

Dragging the boat to work with me today. If the rain holds out I will be trying out the lake.

Anyone else heading out?

Well, we got in about an hour of fishing before the storm ran us off. In the hour we caught one spec and the biggest white trout I have ever caught, she was full of eggs and weighed just over 2lbs and was18". Gona try either Port Sulphur or Myrtle Grove tomorrow and see how that works out.

slow day at Port Sulphur, I fished for about 4 hours and tagged three red fish and one very nice trout. It was also an odd day as well, as I had two really nice redfish break my line. Not sure what happened I had new leader line and just without notice the line went slack and then nothing.

Had a window of opportunity to put Visco in the water and try the trestles, and it was a good thing that I did. Not one rain drop did I feel and the wind pretty much died completely. First tried throwing into the trestles with no luck, so decided to do some trolling. I had a rattle trap on one and a 3/8oz jig head with a pink matrix (forgot the make). After my third fish on the matrix and nothing touching the rattle trap I witched and put two matrix out. I was using the pink matrix on one and the avacato on the other and they both produced evenly.

Ended the day with 10 nice trout and tagged another 10.
