Default The Rock Today Sun 4/19

Took my daughter today. Launched right at 7, caught 10 1/2 Dozen and were back on the road heading home by 1 pm. The weir we were on got pretty crowded but we managed. She's 9 and can throw a small castnet like a champ. She spent most of the time catching sailfin mollies and other colorful fish for her aquarium. She also wore half the marsh home.

Got home, called up all my siblings to come eat and steamed them in beer. They were awesome.

Crabs look nice size.

The dirty cloths is why I bring extra cloths to put on for the ride home.

I was going to ask about alligators....but your picture answered the question.

The gators kept their distance this time. Often it's a tug-o-war over the crab bait.

Thanks for the report. The kids are asking me to go this weekend. I may have to bring them down and catch a few crabs.

Nah, I was too busy with the crabs. Found them at the first place we stopped so I didn't look around much.
