Default 3/25/16 BL - Fresh, Muddy, and Windy

Did a lot of riding around for little action. The stiff wind and water conditions severely limited our choice of areas that could effectively be fished. We originally set out to find some fishable water in efforts to catch some trout. We found a few trout early while slowly working dark colored, large profile lures and then the wind quickly blew us off of our trout bite. Once the wind picked up, we focused our efforts on finding some bottom dwellers. We found one here and one there but none stacked up for us. It was definitely a trying day under difficult conditions. Not a speck of salt was on my boat when the day was over. The bait is still there and the fish are still there too - you just have to hit them in the head right now to make them bite in the dirty water. A couple of days of calm weather and good tides could turn things around in a hurry.

Nice job... it was really tough out there that morning. We didn't even manage one fish
