Default Pier work / Bulk head

I recently purchased a few lots on the ship channel in Hackberry and I am looking for quotes to put in our bulkhead and build a fishing pier and boat house. I plan to use rock v/s going with a full vinyl bulkhead which is less than half the cost of vinyl bulkhead. We also plan to build another camp on this land. The total linear footage on the channel is just over 200 feet.

I only have one person thus far that I have spoken with regarding this work so if you have suggestions of reasonably priced options for me please let me know. I need to at least get the rock in place ASAP before more of my land falls off into the channel.

The land is located just south of Davis Seafood.

Call Jon Ladner at 337-263-5880. He owns Big Lake Construction and does bulkhead work. Located on Big Lake Road in Lake Charles. His dad is Charles Ladner, one of the best structural engineers in the country so you get his input as well. Tell him Doug sent you.

I may rent my current camp once we build this one. That or we will sell it, we are still trying to figure that out.

My cousin Tal McCain did all the work for the wiers like the electrical and built all the new levees. Got my dad calling him to see if he does bulk head work. He is out of grand lake.

We can always trade a weekend at the camp or night boat trips for duck hunts.

Is it a requirement that birds be killed on these hunts or no deal?
