In state of LA you don't have to register a gun. When you buy one new all you do is a background check. So, anything second hand doesn't require anything but you could do a bill of sale if you wanted.

probably the best procedure...but you shouldn't need anything.

Paudna's house just got ripped of all his guns today! Best to have a check run on em so you aren't receiving stolen goods!

Get a bill of sale, I bought a shotgun at a gun show and was stopped by the police turns out it was hot I got arrested went to jail spent almost 10k on an attorney and got a few other firearms taken that were not hot. But luckily I had a bill of sale and the charges were finally thrown out and I eventually got my other guns back. Always smart to cover your rear

You can make a bill of sale if it will make you feel better, but you really dont need it. If you bought it from a shop or gun show, always keep your sales reciept!!!

I got a bill of sale and had it notarized.... Sold all my guns a few years back. My buddy is a lawyer, the notary was his advice.

Its good to protect yourself if that gun is used in a crime, even though chances are it wouldnt be.

Exactly. By getting it notarized all three signatures are legal and show possession being transferred.
If those guns were ever used in a crime, that notarized bill of sale would keep me clean!
