Default short rigs 5-21

Had a blast and caught a bunch of big trout short rig hopping between Sabine and Cameron. It was glass smooth on the way out, but around 5:00 the west wind really picked up. We ran 19 miles back to the Sabine jetties at a top speed of 12 mph! But we made it in safely and had a nice box of fish to show for our efforts. Sorry no box shots or trout pics, but the lookdown fish was a rare treat, and the jack on the all-star classic/curado set up was a serious 20 minute battle.

I take it back. It's an Atlantic moon fish. Very similar to a lookdown.

Gulf Fisheries management has an app with fish ID and regulations. Works offshore.
