Default West Cove

What are they doing in West Cove? They shut down West Cove Recreation Area for a month and it looks like the have been taking bales of oysters and putting them along the west shoreline. Does anyone know what they are trying to accomplish?

I think they are building a new reef along the west bank. I remember reading something about it a few months back.

Default West Cove

Mlab12 is correct-it's an oyster reef restoration project being done by The Nature Conservancy(not CCA!). Approximately 32,000 feet of shoreline protection. Here's a link to the plans on the LA DNR website:
