Default Vermilion Bay/Morgan City

Good Morning guys, I have a free pass this coming weekend and a 12 year old daughter who want to catch some reds again. Anyone have any news for Vermilion Bay or down river near Point Au Fer? I know both areas but would rather not have to travel that far. Any updates is appreciated

If you decide to go out of Morgan City cut across four league to the buck skin bayou and lost lake area. We normally do really good back there this time of year.

I've never fished Buck Skin bayou but I am familiar with Lost Lake. Are there any reefs or shallow areas to worry about?

Buck skin is fairly deep. Lost lake is shallow and does have a few reefs

Modis showing better water around Marsh Island yesterday. With some fresh bait, I think reds could be caught.

Yeah the Bay side looks decent. I am waiting for the clouds to clear to view the EOSDIS website it allows you to zoom more. From what I can tell the lower Atchafalaya still looks pretty muddy so I am leaning more to MI or Vermillion Bay
