Dance LC trouts!!!!!!!! 11/19/11

Caught some birds early around the channel.... only boat on em for about 30 minutes. Manage to pic up 17 off of them in less than an hour. That shut down soo my brother in law and I drifted a flat pickin up 5 more... Headed back in to Prien Launch and found some slicks. Picked up our last 5 right outta Indian Bay. All fish caught on sparkle beetle. Got alot of blowups on Skitterwalk but all they would do is slap at it. 27 specs total. Couple of nice ones in there.

Topwater started going bad about a week ago. They don't bite, only slap.

Slow it down and let them hook themselves. Smaller topwaters work better since the hooks are closer together

I don't set the hook, I let them set it themselves.
Learnt that long time ago. If you set the hook, you set it in your face...
I been using Spook Jr's, then downsized to Zara Pups. Pups catch more,
but they still slap them, clean outta the water sometimes. Been seeing
them slapping Pogy outta da water too. Right next to the boat.

I hear ya. I've thrown topwater off my uncles dock up in that area in the afternoons and I had to work it slow slow. Especially in February
