Default Baffin Bay 9/17

Went down to Corpus this weekend to visit my cousin. Her husband grew up downt there and is friends with several of the guides, so he hooked us up with a free trip. We fished out of a Haynie and now i see what all the hype is about, that thing was smooth! It was my first time fishing with croaker and i was skeptical as i prefer artificial. But it wasnt bad since you still have to kinda work the croaker and the bite was pretty tough to feel. The bite was off and on, we would pull up on a spot and catch 2 or 3 and then move, we boated around 35 fish and ended up with 19 (one shy of a limit there) Biggest were around 2 pounds maybe (no scales there just rulers) Enjoyed talked sh*t with the guide about "inches" vs "weight". Trip got cut short by a big storm that blew in at 11 am. I will be back to wade for the big girls sometimearound feb-may. Good trip all in all

Why do they use a Filet knife?? is it because Texas limits are so small that by time you warm up the electric knife you would be done??

LOL
