Default Kayak fishing tourneys?

A buddy of mine just became an ambassador for a certain inflatable kayak company, they are willing to pay for him to enter and dis in any kayak tournament in the area. My question to you guys is are there any upcoming tournaments for kayak fishing?

The Lafayette Kayak Fishing Club has one coming up in 10 days.
Here's a link to the website to sign up.

Here's some info on the tournament:

The MMTB is a Tackle-Exchange Tournament in which participants must fish with an angler’s bag of lures to be randomly drawn the morning of the tournament. Tournament entry fee is $30 or $35 (+ 1.25 via PayPal) and participation is open to the public. $5 of each entry goes to the Top Bag (TB) Pot and if the tournament winner uses your bag you win the TB Pot.

OPTIONAL CALCUTTA ($5): Heaviest Speckled Trout wins the pot.
LEOPARD REDFISH (included in entry fee) - Redfish with the most spots (counting both sides) wins a Pack & Paddle Gift Card (prize value based on the number of tournament entries).

If you just want a big redfish to pull you around, kayaking off of Rutherford beach is a better bet.

Caminada Pass can have great bull red action, but August doesn't seem to be the best month.

I think the dates are chosen for attendance rather than the best fishing.

All of them off Rutherford. We've rocked Caminada pass a number of times, but fall and winter seem best.

I'll be going! If I can get my board down there for sure.. I will flying in from work so I'm trying to get a buddy that I've fished with to grab my board in BR and bring down for me.

I'll let you know for sure
