The standard is for 5 years but a lifetime is now available. I don't think you have to recertify but not sure. For training you could start by calling Acadiana outfitters in new Iberia and ask how to get in touch with Ed Jefferies. There is also a small gun shop in Maurice, not sure of the name but it tacticle something or something tacticle. It's on the main hwy.

Thats a very good point. Im going to keep pushing her to come shoot with me as often as possible. I really think once she starts shooting often, she'll start having fun with it and want to go more. Maybe when we go I'll shoot bad on purpose and let her out shoot me so she keeps coming back!
