My knees got weak just watching the video...I was working out in burns point a few years back and someone climbing one of those towers fell to his death while I was at lunch...no parachute for him

Many years ago, I knew a guy that did tower work in the Baton Rouge area.

He was young....early 20's.

He said the money was great, usually the work only took a little while.

I watched a guy climb up a 250 foot flare stack in a plant. He climbed up almost half way, without stopping. Took maybe a 1 minute brake, then climbed to about 3/4 the way up......stopped for ~ 1 minute and finished the climb. I talked to him later and he said that the climb up was not too bad.

A week later, I was told that I could "ride" up in a cage from the crane working on the flare tip. I did not go up because I was busy. Wished later that I had gone up.
