Install security cameras, conceal carry, don't leave ANYTHING outside, even in mid-day, and remember the fond times back in Lafayette. Hopefully the move included a major pay increase. Good luck!

Get ready for traffic. Step in your car, about an hour later, u are at your destination. I swear that was my routine when I lived in friendswood.

Lived there 13 years, but finally made the move back to Lafayette 5 years ago.

If you have access to a kayak, I used to fish the green underwater pier lights at night this time of year. It was a great way to fish and beat the heat at the same time.

PM me if you want more info. I also have a list of my favorite restaurants if you want that too.

we lived in H town most of our lives. moved to the Galveston area 21 yrs ago. Galveston Bay is one of the best fisheries in the world. you can fish anywhere from North Trinity Bay to Matagorda. bays, marshes and jetties. like stated earlier, kayak fishing is great. google earth will show you more miles of marsh land than you can cover in your life time.
good luck. i know you'll miss La., but you'll also enjoy Texas, and it ain't that far to go home for a week end or so.

used to fish Galveston every week from 2002-2008. Its nothing like fishing in Southeast LA. Hope u still have family in Lafayette, that'll give u the excuse to return to LA for the fishing.
