11-12-17 lower Calcasieu short trip

I took my oldest daughter out for a couple hours today on the river. It was a very leisurely paced trip. My daughter likes to fish, but she doesn't take it as serious as I do. We caught a few, shared some laughs, and left when the sun came out from behind the clouds. We had 2 reds, 1 bass, and 4 specks and caught almost all on top waters.

Heck yes! A trip with your kid, a mixed bag of keepers, some topwater action, and home before the afternoon begins. Perfect.
