Default East comes West once again

Man I love this place. All the fishermen I run into are good people. No asshats like Lake Pontchartrain has.
Staying in Hackberry and here till Sunday. Any direction on where to find some trout would be appreciated. We bave a livewell full of shrimp and small mullet for the weekend but would rather get em with artificials. Have some Gulps as well.
We were planning on heading south but not really sure since its been about 7 Months since we've fished BL.
Will post reports when we get back.

Ended up with 32 fishing out by the Jetties. North wind early kept us there for most of the morning.
Got two reds and a nice flounder in the ship channel as well. Headed back out in the morning.

Day two. Ran to the rigs south of Holly Beach. Caught 15 nice trout. Didnt have to measure any. Also hooked a big Cobia but he shook the hook after about a 5 minutes fight. Saw 5 of them swimming together.
Beautiful day in the gulf today.

Thanks Paul! We had to work pretty hard today. Had to work through a bunch of trash fish to get what we got. The Mexican Mackerel were in full force out there today.
headed home now. But we'll be back soon!
