Default Va squirrel hunt

Got a call from my buddy in the army wanting to go try and get a few squirrels so I took him up on the offer. My .22 isn't here yet so he let me use his .17. Walked a planted pine stand for a few hours seeing a whole lot of eaten pine cones but no squirrels. Managed to get 2 rabbits between the stands of pine. And saw a squirrel at the last possible second. He ran up into the top and tried to hide behind the really thick pine needles. Zoomed in but couldn't get a headshot and let the let the supersonic .17 roar. Hit just forward of rear right leg toward tail and didn't expect this sight when it finally fell from the tree. .17s do some damage!
