They could have used the song Amos Moses or The Ballad of Gator McKlusky as the promo music when they're showing previews for the show on the History Channel. Of course I like Born on the Bayou from Creedence also.

I got a big kick out of Troy when he wanted his helper to kill the gator, "Chute it, Chute it!!"

I love this show!!!!!

Just watched the first episode a few minutes ago on the computer.

If you have not seen the first episode and can't catch it on TV like me.....you can go to the history channel wed site and watch it.

http://www.history.com/shows/swamp-people

They got some other videos on there as well....titled "exclusive videos".

yessir, and everybody in texas wears a cowboy hat and has a southfork ranch (ala dallas tv show)!

i admire those people and the way they live...simple, effective and lacking the hassle of the dog-eat-dog business world we live in.

Ha! You got me there dude! I stand corrected! Did y'all see the show Sunday night? That guy (L'enfant's stepson - can't remember his name) has some real nerve to go in that marsh grass after a clearly ticked off gator. Armed or not, that's dangerous. Because I figure that unless you have a .50 cal Barrett sniper rifle or a grenade launcher, you will not stop a big, pissed-off gator that's charging at you, intending to kill you. I wouldn't go in after a cottonmouth, much less a big gator that's hissing at me.

Did y'all notice how "Italy Guy" covered his ears when they shot the gator? My guess is that he had no idea how loud it would be. I think he had a good time and may not be able to do things like that in Italy. Obviously not gator hunting, but I mean hunting or fishing in general.
