Default Vermillion Bay Speck Status

I am looking to take the wife put Thursday and Friday and was wondering if anyone is catching specks in the bay yet and some hints as to where if so? I'm trying to avoid running out to t-bute because she tends to get a little sick when its rocking.

Not yet, still too early. You may catch a few straglers here and there but they aren't on the inside yet in any numbers. Probably best chance is around the Hammock or Dry Reef rigs.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I remember catching earlier than october pretty well in the past. What makes you think they won't be in the bay until oct or dec this year? New post "Cypermort Point 7/19" says you are wrong.

Also do you consider 8 mph gusts excessive? I would never fish if that was too windy.

Sorry I was being sarcastic....they are in the bay right now just gotta grind em out and move till you find em. Not like in the fall when you can catch a limit in an hour.

I guess I was in a time machine and went back to the fall when I caught a limit of trout inside the bay a few weeks ago.
