Haven't posted in forever, and haven't caught fish in even longer, so I figured it was time. I took my dad fishing yesterday, and we worked hard for 'em. Got some generous tips from W, but the ship channel didn't pan out for us. We fished multiple spots in the ship channel from L&G, to Joe's cove, to 9-mile and the wash-out areas with little to no success. The tide was already in when we started fishing, so there was little water movement. Water looked decent at first, but the wind picked up pretty quickly, so I made the call to move into the marsh to at least salvage some reds. Well, it turned out that the trout had the same idea. We got on a decent little bit and picked up quite a few (all small) to salvage the morning. Made the long run back to Prien and put the smack down on the reds as the tide was starting to fall. It wasn't easy, but turned out to be a good trip. We threw a little of everything at them.
