Default What to do? IF I DO? Help

Well fellas as some of you may know. I consider myself a professional Track and Field Athlete.

Triple jump is my discipline
Member of the
07 USA World Team Osaka Japan. 18th
07 Pan American Team in Rio 5th
2010 USA INDOOR Triple Jump Champion

Im currently training for the 2015 track season. The 2015 season will be a World Championship year which the USA TEAM will be competing in Beijing China next summer!!!.

The following year will be an Olympic year! The Olympic games will be held in Rio!

These next 2 to 3 years I will be putting in at least 15hrs+hours a week just in training, this doesn't include my full time job at the sheriff office. I won't have the time to go fishing at all.

Thinking about selling my boat

Which brings me to my topic.... What to do, if or (how to sell)/should I sell my boat.

Will I be taking a lose, what to to then? (Or Ask for payoff) I don't know? The wife said no don't sell

It's only a year and 3 months old.

2013 2104 frontier with 175 suzuki with about 75hrs.
Minnkota I pilot 80lb
Lowrance hds 7 touch with structure scan.
Trim tabs

You've definitely got a lot going on. Way too much to be worried about a boat.

If you'd like, I'll be happy to take care of it for you for the next two years. My fees are very reasonable, and include storage, as well as weekly trips out on the water to make sure she stays in perfect running condition!!

I think we miss the forrest for the trees. If the kids enjoy fishing and boating then something else will be sacrificed to take care of the kids. Real world- did you see USA trials? 58+ to win and 57+ for second. I know Arkie has a kid going 56+. Not trying to be rude just real world. 57+ or sit on sideline. Wishing you best of luck. In my world I try to be realistic and make sure my kids come first. Love t&f. High jumped and triple jumped in college. Figured out that being realistic is better way. If you can consistently jump 57ft then knock yourself out. If not then back up and look at what's really important.

Yea sounds like u have a whole lot of stuff going on alphaman. I'd hate to see u sale ur boat or just let it sit there and collect dust. Keep me in mind if u decide to let it go.

Always a tough decision to knowingly let your boat sit for an extended period of time especially if paying a note and storage fees. If you bought it new and you would likely replace it in the next 1-2 years with a new boat once your life was back to normal, then I would probably keep it. You will clipped on the sell and rebuy. If you bought it used and made a decent deal and was satisfied with buying another used one down the road, then I would sell it unless it was the 'perfect' boat in your mind. If you are going to sell it, now is the time though. You have about 8-12 weeks of prime time.

if you are going to be letting it sit... then by far the best decision is to sell it as quickly as possible to avoid additional hits to the boats value from depreciation. Additionally the quicker it sells.... the less notes you have to keep paying....

for the few times when you are going to have time to fish in the next few years, financially would be much better to hire guide/ jump in with friends-fellow SC members and enjoy the little bit of water time you will get.

with that said... look forward to watching you wear out them young buck's and show em how its done..

Ask payoff if possible and hire a guide or hop in with someone else like AceArcher said...focus on your main objective...boats come and go.

Sell the boat while the value is at its highest.
I am always looking for someone to ride along when I am not on the rig.
Good luck on your future events. When we give up our dreams, a big part of our soul dies.

Good luck Alpha! Sell that thing, another boat will come along. Surf fishing and crabbing are always available and not nearly as expensive.

Yep, if thats whats in your heart, you should go for the gold. If you dont, then you will always wonder. You can always get another boat. Cant get back years from the past.
