Smokin Specks!

Well I have not fished since Mid June "which was in Big Lake" so on Sunday a buddy and I decided to head to VB since its closer to the house. We left the dock at day break and headed to SW Pass and found muddy water so we decided to keep heading south. We went to our first spot and they had several boats there and we were able to catch a few about 15 but they had to many boats for us. Its now 11:00am so we decided to head south to a Rig that we have fished at in the past only to find it was not there anymore looked around with the depth finder and found the shell pad and decided to give it a try anyway and what a good decision that turned out to be. First cast... fish on... and it never stopped. We loaded the boat with a two man limit and we were done for noon. What made it even better is, there was not another boat around us a far as we could see. All nice fish!! Most were caught on white Berkley gulp slow rolling on the bottom

I'd love to see them start moving up into the bay early this year.
