Default Off Shore report from p-cola 11/13

Lost Bound Train's Report 11/13

aka - LBT
After a HUGE let down of missing a chance to go diving due to some crazy doc's orders of NOT diving for 2 weeks after LASIK surgery, I decided not to let the 1-2's forecast go unchecked.

I scrambled to put a last minute crew together which in turn would be my son Derek, Sam Roberts and 2 of his visiting friends from Hattiesburg (Brad and Alesa). This would be Alesa's very first time in the gulf so, she had many first today. Her very first and very bumpy ride out to start, I hate them non-accurate NOAA forecast but hey, if they were always accurate I may have passed on day of catching a few.

Our first stop produced our RS limit in short order and 5 legal triggers...From there we pushed off a lil deeper and introduced Alesa to a couple of just legal Aj's. She handled them things extemely well and held her own all day. She was pretty stoked to say the least after landing those Aj's...By the way, just legal Aj's go back to grow a lil more when hitting the deck of the LBT but she didn't seem to mind one bit.

The rest of the day was very slow in comparison to the morning action. Around 2:00ish, we decided the 1-2's were not going to happen and with a slowed bite we began preparing for a bumpy ride in. As Sam and Brad were tossing our left over frozen bait over the side, they notice something busting the surface...Sure enough they chummed up and landed a couple of BoBo's for pure entertainment...

Sam makes one more cast before finally headed north and BAM, Sam is hook up and lands a respectfull Blackfin that came to play with the Bobo's. We bled the BF out as the action stopped just as fast as it began and headed for the pass where our fish box was ck'd by the FWC. Nice and polite as usual and relieved when those triggers still measured over 14"....lol

A few pics to go along:

Derek was our "trigger man" today!

Brad with a nice RS

Alesa with her first ever RS

Alesa bowed up with her first ever Aj

Alesa with her 2nd Aj....She landed them back to back and ask for another...She was one tough angler today!

Sam was pretty excited when his BF hit the deck

Alesa thought this Grey/Blue Tile was awesome looking!

It was another great day on the water and meeting new friends, AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!
