let me just tell you saw a bunch of teal and a few big ducks south of abbeville....if my friends brother had not been late and we had got in the blind 15 minutes before shooting time instead of 20 minutes after we prolly would have done alright....ended up with 3 teal...should have gone fishing

Hunted our lease in Kaplan with one of my uncles buddies.....we had 7 teal. There were a lot of birds (teal) but when you have a tractor broken down 15 yards from your blind it cannot help. Nothing wanted to decoy or even pass close to the deks. All the birds we shot were medium height passing shots. Hopefully, the tractor will be pulled out today.

it started very slow...very little wind...killed 4 teal early and had to wait it out for our other 6 ducks..but we did end up with 2 red heads...2 ring necks...a mottle duck and a spoonie...so not to bad just slow..it'll pick up as the weather improves...

Heard a good bit of shooting down here around the Gibbstown bridge. But naturally, I was working instead of hunting.

When I hunt the rice fields I love it to be windy, front moving thru and some rain. When I hunt in the marsh I like 10 mph north wind and a sunny blue bird day!

I like huntin in the fog myself. You're right about the clear day with the north wind in the marsh. Nothing like it.

I like it when it is foggy till around 8 am, then it burns off.
It's like they open the gates and let all the ducks out at the same time...
