FlagUS Reds & Specks!

Incredible redfish action continues throughout lower Bayou Dularge. It was another crazy day catching one redfish after the other all morning long! Day 2 for Gary & Jeremy Underwood from TN found themselves on the big 26 ft Pathfinder. Our plan was simple….find big reds for the father & son team to catch. It was another catch & release day and I was happy to tag over 20 reds as the action was just as great as the day before. Our first stop only produced 2 fish so we made a short 15 minute boat ride and found them stacked up. It was double hook-ups for the guys for about 45 minutes as they quickly put over 20 reds in the boat. We added a tag to each fish and released them unharmed. After the bite tapered off we took a ride to see if we could find something different for the guys to catch. The north wind had the water falling hard and we noticed the shrimp on the move. After a 20 minute ride we found what we were looking for. Speckled trout were flying out the water as large schools of fish were all around us. The trout were in a frenzy as we caught doubles on every cast for a good hour or so. Double rigged Chicken On A Chain & LSU Bayou Chubs did the trick as we caught over 100 trout easily keeping 47 fish . Gary & Jeremy had never seen anything like it before and were amazed at the quick action. There were many undersized fish but it was no problem catching some good fish over the 12 inch mark. This was the icing on the cake for these guys after the 2 great days of fishing they enjoyed on the DU!. Good luck fishing.
