Default Fishin with the Family. Great weekend on Bolivar

Met my brother and his family for the holiday weekend at our mom's place on Crystal Beach. Didn't set any records, but found as many trout as we wanted over oysters. Just let the wind blow us over the reefs and tore em up. Gigging was slow but my son still stuck a few Sat. night. Me and my fishin buddy been big trout hunting since the Spring, and it was nice to just relax, catch a pile of dinks and not be mad about it lol. The big fish fry was the payoff. Cousins and friends showed up and the whisked flowed!!!! While we had the grease hot, I battered and fried some baby back ribs....DDDAAYYYUUMMMM!!!!

Cmon guys...a Texan posts a pic of a drum and not 1 single joke? This place has changed a lot in a year. Honestly.....that pic was taken purely for the enjoyment of the s.c. membership. I figured somebody would jump on that quick

They ban us now for bashing fishing reports.

Beautiful drum, please tell us all about how to target and clean them.

Gooh. I didn't catch it, my brother did. I've evolved enough as a fisherman to not catch them suckers. But...if you gotta know, the drum ate a gold/chart. Tail Deadly Dudley. We were on the pickles, so I was using up all my old baits.
