Friday Morning Trout Slam!
Fridays action started off slow but ended with fast and furious action like we like it ! The Seacor Marine crew was back on board the big Blazer Bay and I knew it would be another great day on the DU! Clayton Breaux, Andy Rulf and Warren Guidry whacked the trout as we easily caught 100 fat trout along with a couple reds & nice flounder. We started off the morning picking up about 20 fish at the first stop. I had to get Andy and Clayton warmed up and it was mission accomplished as they were jawing at each other as soon as the first fish came in the boat. We caught 16-18 inch trout all morning with a few 20 inchers! Clayton came well armed with swimbaits and we fed the trout bluebacks, bunker and glo/chartreuse all morning. Warren pulled something that resembled a snake out his arsenal in a chartreuse color that worked well too. It was so bright it hurt our eyes! Lol
We finished up just after the noon hour but Clayton hinted that if somebody in the back of the boat would have not been slacking we would have limited out earlier. Oh well Andy you'll just have to crank up the machine next time!! Big fun with these guys as I always look forward to taking these guys out fishing! Good luck fishing!
