Default Inshore Fishing Venice, La.

Venice, La. Inshore Fishing Report—Super Strike Charters-9/4/2015.

We are now in September. For the next two months we are in prime time for fishing Bull Reds, Speckled Trout, and Flounder down here in Venice, La. Right now we are catching plenty of Bull Reds, avg. about 28-30lbs. They are stacked up along the beaches and just outside of the bigger passes. They are eating everything from jigs on a popping cork, top water lure, and of course any type of natural bait. Most days everyone is getting their fill until they say no more, lets go fish for some smaller fish. Trout and Flounder are plentiful right now. The flounder bite usually peeks around the 1st of October, but that will depend on the cold fronts. As the water starts to cool down this time of the year, the trout will start to move into the deeper water canals and areas inside of the passes. Slot reds will be plentiful in the same areas as well. There is going to be a lot of action over the next three months, the river is at a low level right now, which makes the fishing very easy. If your more into catching than fishing, then this is the time of the year to go. You can mix in some inshore fishing with some offshore fishing to get the full fishing experience down here in Venice, La. Lodging is available throughout Venice.
