Hope everyone that quit is still on that path.

I been dip free for a few months now after 10 yrs of it. What sucks is, its gettin harder everyday now to not buy a can. Been like this for the last 3 weeks or so. Worst part is substituting food for dip...I eat like a f-ing pig now:banghead:

I havent bought a can in months. Still smoke about a pack a day. I have had pouches but I do not crave it. Last time I regularly bought was early may. Feels nice to not have my gums hurt

Quiting tabacco can be a bit.....Been over 9 months since I smoked a caner stick. On the down side I went from 235 to 255. Gotta start hitting the weights after the holidays.

After chewing and dipping and a lil smokin, while playing baseball, being in the outdoors and then while coaching high school sports, I finally quit cold turkey in 2000. Haven't had one since or the urge. When I first quit, I hit hard on the sunflower seeds and the pistachios. It filled my mouth and gut, so I guess that helped me kick it. I'd probly puke at the smell of a dip now. Know of a distant cousin of mine diagnosed w/ throat cancer a couple years back caused by dipping, so that made me think even more about not doin it.

dont convince yourself you can take one and get back on the same track been dipping for about 8 years and went three weeks thought i was tobacco free and smoked a cig went another week or two and thought i could handle one dip and now i dip again so keep all the little tips in your pocket you will get cranky after a week and hungry like the man said just be better than the addiction after two weeks you wont be as edgy
