Default Texas coastal question

Just wondering if any of you Texas guys ever heard of a little place called Sargent and if it still exists? My uncle had a camp down there when I was a kid and we used to fish a place called Brown Cedar Cut. Just wonderin what the area was like these days. We had some good times over there.

Sargeant is still there. It's still a nice little fishing community. Good jumping off point for fishing East and West Matagorda Bay. I don't get down there much anymore, but I don't believe Brown Cedar Cut is open anymore. Silted in. They've talked several times about a project to dredge and reopen the cut, but I'm not sure if they ever have. It may be on the Corps of Engineers list of things to do. They just reopened the mouth of the San Bernard river after it had silted in. I heard they have about five projects on tap. BCC may be one of them.
