Default Sabine Refuge Report

Good hunt,

I been hearing alot of shooting and seeing a lot of birds near my usual spot and wanted to give it a shot. I was the first on the water this am and did just that. Had to hunt until 11:00 and didn't see anyone at the launch I must have had the whole place to myself.

That's what I'm.....well, hoping. Hate to see anyone get nailed because of a forum.

Default Middle Split

Man y'all don't know about the "middle split"

Unfortunately I was working but it would have been a good day to hunt. I'm ready for the second split.

Since Rita and Ike hard bottom is rare out there now. Most everywhere you go has that gumbo mud. Best advice for walking in the marsh is get your cardio right and step fast because if you ain't moving your sinking.

Default Smoke Screen

I will give 2 recommendations:

1- Carry a pirougue or canoe, use them to retrieve birds and hide the boat more than 50 yards away.

2- Besides the 1st recommendation do not believe anything you read about public hunting land on hunting sites especially if your asking about specific areas
