I have two of those strategically placed in the house. You gotta try to miss with one of those! I thought we were talking about concealed carry weapons.

I have a Taurus PT22LR near the bed and a 12 gauge close by, and a TAURUS PT24/7 PRO .45 ACP (with 2 mags loaded with 12 rounds of Federal Premium Hydrashocks each) that goes with me wherever I go, and comes in the house with me when I am home. And I keep plenty of extra ammo on hand!!!

i love the classic look and feel, had a colt series 70 but sold it, it never jammed but when it comes to eating hollow points and cheap ammo it's hard to beat the plastic pistola. i guess in a SHFT situation i'd rather my 16 rounds of .40 cal thru the glock......

but for a range piece it's hard to beat a 1911 trigger....

i think this gun is cool for the money, sights suck tho

I've got the Mil-Spec Springfield. Performs great out of the box. I modified it with a beavertail grip safety, which it really did need for me. 1911's like to bite the web of my hand. I've got a 1943 Ithica and the Springfield works just as good as the WWII USGI, but better in that it eats hollowpoint ammo. I would without hesitation buy another. Mine has only had one FTF and that was due to cheapo reloads. No jams, no stovepipes. I like the sights though, probably since I'm not used to really good sights and I don't know any better. They say ignorance is bliss. The price is right for these and they are good pistols.
