I can challenge Shawn for the Spoonbill Slayer title. My buddy lets me hunt a little muddy pond near his camp that is full of spoonies and not much else. If it flies like a duck, it dies like a duck. It's better than not hunting. I breast them and leg them and then trim all the fat off. Marinate them in milk and never have a problem with them being too fishy.

Spoony's eat the same thing as Gray Ducks, Widgeons... ect.

I have killed more GW Teal that were fishy, than I have any other ducks.

I cleaned a bluewing one time and that sucker had little minnows all in his throat not sure how that sucker didn't choke. Nothing wrong with them spoonies.

My wife don't eat ducks, but she loves the gravy from pot roasted ducks.
She practically licked the black pot clean last night. When I cleaned it, it
looked like it was cleaned already. No onions or gravy juice left in it.
