Default 2' o'clock bayou

Anybody still fish this bayou off HWY 190? I haven't fished it in years. I know the bridge is out next to the launch so I'm not even sure if you can get to the bayou. Can anybody confirm otherwise?

You can still get to the launch! I haven't fished it in 10 plus years but there were boats launched near 190 at the ramp going to what we used to call Wilderness!

you can still fish it but they built a dirt dam right past that bridge and you may have a hard time getting across it. It has water over it because they cut through it but its still shallow. Get a little speed and hop over it though.

Why did they put a damn there? Is it still legal to go back there? I haven't fished it in 20 years. Have you been back there in the last couple years? Is the fishing decent?

the dam is gone now. Must have tore it back down.. they put it there because they thought because of the high river water/possible morganza opening that it was going to flood 3 mile..... idiots...

the fishing is decent back there. Every now and then the sacalait start biting. Bass fishing is ok as well

That used to be the goto spot for me as a kid. Used to catch tons of bass in the pits. Ive got one on my wall at Moms house I caught when I was fourteen. I'd love to go back cause it's been at least twenty years since I've been. I heard they made all the pits private. Is that true?
