Stupid boating is stupid boating. 40 HP or 25 HP doesn't matter.

My motor sits a little deeper so I may pick up a few more weeds but I don't find it bad at all

They have NO Wake Zone signs in the 90 degree trail turns haven't seen many idiots so far, 25 or 40 you still have to slow down for boats in main canals, unless they wave you by and not easy to pass. I think it is working out ok.

We almost had a head on with an boat load of democrats not following the rules. If I hadn't seen them it would've been bad. They was already past the curve before they shut it down and only because they almost hit us. And of course they did they did y'all catch anything?

I've been doing it for 5 years. Running a mega 25. Before that was a regular 25. I'm not sure how familiar you are with the pool. The 40 has more power and runs better low end an mid range, that really helps. What I'm fixing to tell you I learned the hard way my first two years. After trolling, push polling, jumping out and dragging my boat through the pool. Getting back to the launch @ dark 30 looking like the elephant man from mosquito bites. You're boat runs shallower on step than idling lol. Everybody knew this but me when I started out. Eventually common sense and self preservation took over. If I wasn't sure where I was, are if I could make it through I would idle through first. Than on the way back I knew I could blast through @ a blazing 27 mph lol. If you would have asked me 8-9 years ago about the pool I probably would have cussed you, now days its one of my favorite spots to fish.
