Default Sandhill sighting in Sweetlake

Saw about 200 or so sandhill cranes today on the corner of pine pasture and arceneaux. Quite a sight to see. Parked and watched for a little while. Sorry for poor pic quality. didnt want to get too close.

Cool man!!! I could've thrown a rock at the ones that flew over me the other day(I wouldn't of course). You was scared a Warden was hiding around there waiting for you to get too close? Just joking.

I have seen them three times this year around Vinton. All the flocks where around 20 or so birds.

They get in that area south of holmwood every single year I can remember. They are like clock work and it's always pretty much the same field. You can bank on em being there every year.

Those things are fun to hunt, and eat very good, I have bagged several over the past few years. They decoy well.
