Default Our first deer together

Saturday morning my 6yo son and i made a hunt on the ground together. At 645 a doe came out and left nervously. Then i saw the buck. We got to watch the buck for about 20 minutes making scrapes and rubs. He ran off a basket 8pt that came by. I let the big one walk and my son was upset because it would have been our first deer together, so i told him if he shows back up and presents me with a good shot i would take him. He even named him as he was walking away. He said thats "bighorns" and that we had pictures of him (which we dont). Well 10 minutes later he shows up at 300 yards and walked to about 50 yards after freshing up his scrapes again. He dropped in one of his scrapes.

This was our first deer together and we got our second that afternoon. The second was a doe. The buck grossed about 130 and netted ~125. He weighed 212, 3.5 or 4.5 yo and the doe went 146 2.5 or 3.5 yo. Needless to say, he was pumped.
