Default Unbelievable fishing 11-2-16

Was on the lake this am for daybreak. Messed around under birds just north of barge but was really windy so eased towards east bank around 745. Had my 15 before 830 and literally caught fish on every cast for a solid hour just north of Hebert's. Finally that school played out and the wind laid down and eased back out in open water by all the pilings and poles. I had caught some pogies earlier, which was first I've seen in a couple weeks, and wanted to see if trout wanted them. They were big pogies! Man just as happened so many times this year I started catching 16-18" trout on them all bigger than the 14" ers I kept and boxed out with. Caught fish til I ran out of them. I could of been home with limit by 9am but felt good and was enjoying the day. Had a couple boats come running in on me earlier that messed things up but didn't let them get me down. A bayboat and flat bottom aluminum rig fishing together were looking more at other boats than finding their own fish and I'm sure I'm not the only one they screwed up. Man I'll be the first guy to wave a boat in but don't come running up on me and shut down within casting distance. Use the wind and that great piece of equipment called a trolling motor and ease in! You and everyone else will catch more. Anyway I did fish by several groups of birds just sitting on the water and caught some good quality fish by em. 50 fish caught today easy! Gulp under a cork caught wat I kept and the pogies caught way better fish. I don't know how long this will last but its time to get out there. Hire ur guide, take vacation, call in sick, whatever , if u like catching yellow mouths it doesn't get much better than it is right now. Finally the better fish are showing up for me. Good luck everyone.

bad thing is it was so windy he could of blew up there in less than a minute from long ways out. he was clearly following the bay boat around but the bay boat was almost as bad. good thing is fish are all over now so can get away from the ones like that most of the time.
