Got to the launch early this am. Too early @ 510am and was first to launch at calcasieu point. After meeting fishing Tom for first time and talikn with him for a few minutes I cranked the old Yamaha up and eased to the fishing hole. 605 had power pole down on reef been fishing in NE corner. They were hungry early as 20 fish caught by 7am. Earliest ive caught a limit of trout! Well almost. I boxed 13 out of those and released the others looking for that big one. A couple boats were also there by now staying their distance and it was obvious the smaller fish were hitting so I eased out to go check another spot and let that other boat come in. Fished til around 9 just outside this cut I been fishing but they just were not there today like the were yesterday. Have to work tonight so started making my way back to launch. Stopped one more spot and picked up two solid 18" & "20 inch fish. That was enough as I have my work cut out for me cleaning all these and get em package up for family members that been waiting for some trout fillets. None wanted to get up as early as I did this am and come along, lol. Laid em all out and washed all the slime off before hitting the cleaning table and my girlfriend snapped another pic real quick. Great fishing! I love it! O want to say thanks to fishing Tom for helping me out this am. No way I'd been to the hole that early without his help. Thanks!
